UNBOXING: Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Can you tell unboxings are my favorite posts to write? I know, I do a lot of them! I’m just eager to share new makeup purchases and let you see products before buying them yourselves. Also, I always offer to do reviews of any products I get, so if anything ever looks of interest, leave a comment!

I purchased three more shades of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks. Of all the liquid lipsticks I’ve tried, his formula is by far my favorite. Once again, I’m surprised and happy with how quickly the products got to me, and how well they packaged everything. It’s the little things, that make me appreciate indie brands.

The total amount of product in each tube is 0.19 oz, which is average for a high end lip product. Each of these retail for $18.00, which is also average. I find that I don’t have to use a lipliner with this formula, so I think the price given is very reasonable. I have very small lips, so most of my liquid lipsticks feather over my lip line, and it’s really annoying, but I don’t seem to have that issue with this particular formula (I’m trying to find out why that is, so stay tuned)!

The first shade I got is the color Deceased. It was originally a limited edition shade, but it was recently moved to the permanent line. I wore it today to work, and found it doesn’t look as brown as it appears in the bottle. It was closer to a greige shade, with purple undertones, than brown.

The second shade I wanted to get was this one, which is called Androgyny. I have not gotten the chance to see the color on my lips, but from the swatch, it appears to be a deep mauve, with a brown undertone.

The last shade I decided to buy is part of the Summer Chrome Collection, so it is limited edition. In the future, I could see it being moved into the permanent line, because the color seems like it would flatter many skin tones. The color is called Calabasas, and it’s a medium tone pink, with red undertones.

As I said before, feel free to comment below if you want to see any of this shades on, or if you want a review on any! If you want to see more unboxings, please like this post and follow my blog for more beauty updates!
