TUTORIAL: Golden Glow Eyes ft. Blinc x Boxycharm Electric Eyes Palette

July 27, 2017

I’m back with another eye look today! I really wanted to incorporate a new product I received in one of my subscription services, so I chose to use the Blinc Electric Eye Palette that I got in my July Boxycharm. The jewel-tone shadows in this palette are so pigmented, and I could not resist trying them!

Below is my take on a simple Golden Glow Eye Look:

The first thing I did was prime my lids, I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion today. The only complaint I have with the Blinc Eye Palette is it has no matte shades to use for a transition color in the crease, so I used Naked 2 from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I applied the shadow using windshield wiper motions and a blending brush.

The first shade I used from the Blinc palette was the lightest shade, called Sphene. I applied it into the inner corner and brought it into the inner half of my eyelid. I also applied the shade onto my brow bone. I used an Urban Decay Flat Shader Brush to do this.

Next I went into the second to last shade, which is Autuni and applied it to the outer half of my eye using a Lottie London Flat Packing Brush.

In keeping with the gold theme, I added the first shade in the palette, called Orpime, to the other third of my eye, blending it into the shadow we applied before. This really helped to deepen the eyeshadows. I used a Sephora Packing Brush to do this.

After applying the last shimmer shade to the lid, I smoked out under the bottom lash line with my transition shade Naked 2 that we used before. I used a pencil brush for this. The last step was to take that same shade we just used, but on a blending brush, and blend away to soften the shadows. I applied my favorite eyeliner and mascara to finish the eyes, and here is the final look! It was a super simple to do and I really love how it turned out.
