I’ve had this eyeshadow palette for a little over a month, and I don’t think it’s been reviewed as much as it should be. So with that being said, here are some of my thoughts on the palette, and my final decision on if it’s worth the buy!
I did a lot of traveling recently, so I wanted a compact eyeshadow palette I could bring, and do more than one look with. I saw this palette in the bins that always get me, when waiting to checkout at Sephora. The Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Eyeshadow Palette contains six neutral eyeshadows that are made from natural ingredients. It costs $23.00, which means it’s about $4.00 an eyeshadow, which is average for a high end cosmetics brand like Tarte.
The matte black packaging is very sleek, it just gets dirty very quickly, as you can tell. On the inside, it has a mirror on the top, which is nice, since a lot of small, travel eyeshadow palettes don’t have one.
There are 3 matte shadows, and 3 shimmer shadows. The 3 mattes on top from left to right are drive, stylin, and crisp. The 3 shimmer shadows on the bottom from left to right are hype, boss, and dominate. I love the shadows, but they do have a decent amount of fallout. I wouldn’t say they are the best formula I’ve ever tried, but they are very wearable shades, and are easy to use when on-the-go, which is how it’s advertised. My favorite look with these shadows is to use drive in the crease, hype on the inner corner, and then boss in the outside half of the eye, and then smoked out on the bottom lash line.
For the price, and the color selection, the Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Eyeshadow Palette is worth it! I really appreciate that there is a combination of mattes and shimmers, and I like how compact it is. It fits right in my makeup bag, without taking up too much space!
