I’m so sorry for my lack of posts. I am working on creating a set schedule, so I can create consistent content.
August was a month dedicated to transitioning. Transitioning back to college, back to being away from home, and back to some oldies but goodies for makeup. Here are my picks for my August favorites:
Limited-Edition Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Lip Paint in “Festival”
I love this liquid lipstick. The shade is very flattering on so many people. It’s a pink nude, without being too overbearing-ly pink. It dries really quickly, and works well whether you’re going for minimal makeup, or dramatic!
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “Paaarty”
This blush is a beautiful, matte peachy-pink shade. I received it in a birthday gift from Sephora, and wish I had it in full size. It’s very easy to blend out, for a sheer layer, or build up.
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara
I know everyone and their mother is talking about this mascara, but it’s ACTUALLY amazing. I use mascara everyday, and sometimes my lashes get a little damaged. This formula is easy to work with, and comes off with a little face wash. The applicator separates each lash individually, while giving crazy length. It is a pretty wet formula, so just keep that in mind.
Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder
I’ve been looking for a setting powder that is easy to apply, doesn’t look cakey, and doesn’t flash back. Flash back is one of the major issues I run into with translucent powders. This one from Too Faced, is great. I’ve never had an issue with concealer creasing if I set it with this, and it never has made me look like Casper in photos. I highly recommend getting this, especially if you are on the pale side, like I am!
Morphe MB2 Round Powder Brush
I purchased this brush early in the summer, and I love using it for setting powder. It lightly dusts the powder on, so it doesn’t look concentrated, but also picks up enough product.
Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer
If you’ve known me for a while, you know that this has been my holy grail concealer for acne. It’s a very thick consistency, so a little goes a long way. It will cover any redness you have, and the shade 01 perfectly matches my skin tone.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
I had this setting spray years ago, and found it to be one of those products that you don’t realize how much you miss. It sets my makeup all night when I go out, and keeps me feeling refreshed.
That’s a wrap for my August favorites! Again, I apologize for my lack of posts. It’s still early in the semester, so I’m adjusting! Please like this, if you want to see more monthly favorites, and follow my blog for more beauty insight!
