IS IT WORTH IT?: Aloette Face Paint Lip & Cheek Tint

Today I am reviewing the Aloette Face Paint Lip & Cheek Tint.  We are going to determine whether this product is worth it, or not!

The tint was featured in the BoxyCharm Beach Please August Box. It retails for $35.00.  The company claims the product has “skincare ingredients that work to soften, heal, and nourish the skin”.  The tint is supposed to provide long-lasting, dewy color on the cheeks and/or lips.

The shade featured is “Pink A Boo.”  I would describe the color as a cool tone, hot-pink.  The consistency is relatively thick, as you can tell, so a little goes a long way.

After trying it out for a few weeks, I’ve run into a few problems. Although the color is beautiful, it can be very harsh, so I found myself using setting powder to blend it out, which mattify’s the color. I would prefer not to have to do this, because I usually use it when I want a dewy color on my cheeks or lips.  It also dries very quick on the skin.  I use it for my lips most of the time because if I dab it onto my cheeks, it’s hard to blend out.

My final thoughts on this product are that it is beautiful, and I love that it has so many natural ingredients.  My concern is the price in relation to the work you have to put in to get the product to look right. I cannot justify spending $35.00 on a product that is hard to make look good.  I feel like there is probably something similar at the drugstore that you could get, for way less.  I’m going to say the Aloette Face Paint Lip & Cheek Stain is not worth it.

Here is where you can find the product if you do want more information.
