IS IT WORTH IT?: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème Highlighter

December 11, 2017

There is nothing more satisfying then swiping on a highlight that is blinding, and gives you a stunning glow. I recently purchased the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème Highlighter in ‘Champagne Pop’, because I love the Pressed Highlight so much. I decided to do an Is It Worth It? post, so I could give my honest feedback. I hope this is helpful!

When I received the product, I was a little disappointed in the size. It’s 0.19 oz of product, less than the Pressed Highlighter, which has 0.28 oz. I decided it may just be because the cream product may be more concentrated than the powder, and you may not need as much product.

I tried using to product with a brush, beauty blender, and just my fingers. After multiple methods used, I found it does the same thing each time – it really sheers out, and doesn’t give you much of a glow. It’s also very difficult to buff out on the skin, especially with foundation under. It cakes up and creates patches of product on your face. Another issue I had was it really emphasized the pores around my nose, and at the top of my cheeks. Even with Benefit Porefessional under, which does a great job at smoothing out the texture on my face, I could still notice them.

Overall, the product wasn’t really doing it for me. It wasn’t as blinding as I wanted, it really emphasized the imperfections on my face, and wasn’t up to par with the Pressed Highlighters that Becca makes. The product is reduced right now (50% off), so they may be trying to phase it out. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème Highlighter is not worth it, in my opinion. I’m going to probably use it more as an eyeshadow base, but I would pass on it if you haven’t already purchased it.

Instead, I would suggest any of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter’s, they are absolutely amazing!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please like this post if you want to see more Is It Worth It? posts, and follow my blog for more beauty insight!

It’s a shame that it didn’t work for you. I hate when cream highlighters cake up or have an affect on your foundation! Xx
