FAVORITES: July 2018

August 3, 2018

My makeup preferences have seemed to change a little over the course of the summer. I’ve been trying to get my skin to look as dewy as possible, especially since my acne has cleared up a lot. I hope you enjoy reading about the products I’ve been loving for the month of July!

Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer: $13.59
I’ve been trying to focus on getting my skin to look as clear and radiant as possible, since that is the base for a full face of makeup. The better your skin looks, the easier it is to put your makeup on. This is a really great moisturizer because it’s light weight, and works to prevent zits from reappearing on your skin. It also doesn’t have sunscreen in it, which prevents flashback. I use this almost everyday, unless I know I’m going to be in the sun.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: $6.00
I’m a huge fan of the Morphe makeup sponge, but I think I like this one even better. It really grows when you dunk it under water, and helps to spread out foundation and concealer a lot. It also is very inexpensive, and you can find it at a lot of stores that sell makeup.

Temptu x Boxycharm Liquid Glow: $10.00
This was an exclusive for Boxycharm subscribers. I got this because of the number of points I have accumulated. I did, however, find the product on Temptu’s website. I use this underneath my foundation, and it gives me that glow from within that everyone is searching for. It keeps my face feeling light, and prevents cakey-ness when you apply powder.

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette: $38.00
I don’t have to say much about this palette, because I’ve talked about it a lot on my blog, and I think every other beauty lover has reviewed and talked about it. The color scheme is perfect for a warm, summer look, and the shadows are very easy to blend, which is a must for me. I’ve been using a lot of the shades on the top left of the palette. I highly recommend you get this palette whether you are a beginner, or have a lot of experience applying makeup.

I hope you enjoyed my favorites from this past month. Let me know in the comments what products you’ve been loving. Don’t forget to like this post and follow my blog for more beauty insight.

Even though I’m late to party, I can agree that the Jaclyn Hill palette is awesome. I just picked it up last week but the few times I’ve used it, I was in love.
Not a fan of that beauty blender though. It was too…dense for me and I felt like it was removing my foundation/concealer more than blending it. I personally love the original beautyblender but at $20 a pop, I’m on the hunt for something more affordable so I’ll have to check out morphe’s blender since I like their other stuff.
    Cheers!

I love the RT sponge too. I use to be a beauty blender girl but the RT one works so well, if not better for me, and is so much more affordable!
