FAVORITES: August/September 2018

I honestly lost track of time last month, and felt weird doing a favorites post at the end of September. Instead, I decided to do a combined August and September favorites post! I’ve been using a lot of the same products recently, and these four are the ones that I have been using the most.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer: $14.95
This bronzer has been my new go to for warming up my skin. It’s not very pigmented, so it’s very easy to build. It smells like coconut, and is very soft. It’s also very inexpensive, and you can find it at the drug store!

Pixi by Petra Glow-y Gossamer Duo in ‘Subtle Sunrise’: $18.00
This has to be one of the most pigmented highlighters I’ve ever tried. It’s very smooth and both of the colors are perfect for me. The highlight on the left is much brighter, and the one on the right is more for a subtle glow. It gives the look of wet skin. I sometimes even just use a brush and swirl both of the colors together.

CoverFX Blurring Primer: $38.00
This is a really great silicone based primer for those who need their pores filled in. It really holds the foundation in place, and smooths out my skin.

ColourPop Element of Surprise Palette: $16.00
This palette allows for a lot of creativity. The shimmer shades have chunky glitter, and are really metal looking if you wet your brush before applying. The color story is also great, because it allows for really sultry looks, to fun, to natural. The shadows are consistent with all of Colourpop’s formula.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Let me know what you’ve been using in August and September, so I get new ideas of products to try. Don’t forget to follow my blog for more beauty insight!

  1. Absolutely love the smell of the Butter Bronzer lol. Definitely agree it’s not very pigmented so it’s not the best for my cheeks as a bronzer; I use it as eye shadow for “natural” days.
