Happy August! I’ve been working really hard this past month to update my blog. I want to give a quick shoutout to Blogerize. They are an amazing company that worked with me to re-customize the layout of my blog. Their website has really great resources to help take your blogging to the next level, and they have a great team of people that can answer questions and work with you on anything you need. Definitely check them out when you get a chance! Below are my July favorites. As I mentioned before, my makeup routine has changed drastically, while on Accutane. Because of this, I have a few new products that have been helping with dryness!
Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer with SPF: $46.00
Although this products runs on the expensive side, it’s really important to me that I have a base that’s oil free, lightweight, and includes SPF. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is the best for covering and evening out my skin, but also lets my skin breathe. It’s definitely worth spending a little more to ensure my skin looks the best it can during this time on Accutane.
Becca Cosmetics First Light Priming Filter Instant Complexion Refresh: $39.00
I love this primer, even though it also has a hefty price tag attached to it. It’s extremely moisturizing and light on the skin. It dries down enough, so it holds foundation in place really well. I use it in combination with the Benefit Porefessional, and I think it works best for my skin, because it’s so dry at the moment.
Ardell Double Up Individual Lashes: $4.99
So this is something new for me, because I’ve always had longer eyelashes. However, I’ve started to use individual lashes for more volume. These lashes look really beautiful with a more dramatic eye look. It’s much easier to use them with eyeliner on the eye. Some people find a band of lashes easier to use, but I think these are great to practice with, because you can build them up, and you can replace them if you need.
Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer: $30.00
This product has been in a ton of my favorites posts, but I truly love it! I use it for not only contouring and bronzer, but I also use it as eyeshadow on a day to day basis. I love that it’s matte, and the color is very complimentary of my skin tone. I’m so happy they expanded the range to include more colors for other skintones, and I hope they continue to add more shades in the future!
Those are the four makeup products I’ve been using the past month. Let me know what you have been using this summer in the comments section. Don’t forget like this post and follow my blog for more beauty insight!
