It’s so interesting how much my makeup routine has changed, since my skin has started to clear up. I find myself using much less product than before, and going for a more natural look. Because of this, I also feel I’ve been using less of a variety of products, which is frustrating for me. I always want to make sure I’m keeping up and informing about the latest beauty trends, and I feel that if I am stuck using the same products, I am doing a disservice to you all. It’s something I’m going to work on these next few months. Adding variety to my collection will only help ensure that I am seeking out the best products. With this, I only have three favorites for the month of September, but I am going to make it a goal that in the coming months, I have more favorites.
Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in ‘Nude Glow‘: $49.00
This moisturizer is pricey, but makes sense for me to continue using because it’s a dual purpose product. I like to lay it underneath my makeup for a “glow from within”. It helps give a radiance under foundation, and prevent my face makeup from getting too matte. Because my skin has been so dry, this is extremely important to me. I also like to use this as a highlighter, if I decide to opt out of using translucent powder all over my face. It’s a little more subtle, but I think if your overall look is more natural, it looks really great. I highly recommend trying it!
Becca First Light Priming Filter Instant Complexion Refresh: $39.00
Another very moisturizing product, this primer works amazing under foundation if you have dry skin. It keeps my skin so hydrated and radiant, without the foundation sliding completely off. It dries down a little tacky, which helps create an even base. It’s another product that’s a little more on the expensive side, but check it out if you are in the market for a liquid primer with a lot of moisture!
Benefit Precisely My Brow Eyebrow Pencil: $24.00
This is the third time I’ve purchased this product consecutively, which almost never happens. I tried out a few other brow pencils in Ulta, but I always find myself gravitating back to Benefit’s brow products. I think they do a very good job of creating a range of items that fit everyone’s brow needs. For me, I have sparse brows that need to be filled, so this specific pencil does a great job at mimicking hairs with the thin point at the end. I also find that the color options are great, and they are continuing to make more colors to match all their consumer’s hair colors. The pencil applies smooth, but without too much slip, so you are able to create a really nice shape. My brows never look too sparse or too filled in with this product!
Even though this was not the biggest favorites post, I hope you enjoyed reading! I truly believe these products really change the way my makeup looks, so check them out if you get a chance.
